We Are?

Providing

Our Mission

founded in 2014 by Sophie Elianor and her sister Marie Elianor while they both were students at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Sophie and her sister Marie Elianor were born in Haiti and migrated to the United States. They began going on mission trips to Haiti in 2009. The sisters realized that local ownership and participation are missing in many of the aid missionaries or other NGOs offer. Because of that, they failed to address the root problems of Haiti’s underdevelopment.

The sisters chose to create an organization that would ignite real and lasting change. They realize a new aid approach can help strengthen the Haitian civil society and ensure future mutual collaboration between the government and civil society.

The first step for this work is to establish a sense of collective action and power. And to do this, we have to amplify the voices and efforts of Haitian youth and community-based local organizations by providing them with the funding, tools, and resources to play a leading role in building their community.

Goals

To amplifies the voices and efforts of Haitian youth-led local organizations/groups or individuals by connecting them to resources to provide essential support and thought leadership to help establish a sense of collective action.
